The Reddit user who shared it deleted the post and his account later. Activision has also issued a DMCA takedown of the images, Charlie Intel reported.

The leaked image shows a new female Operator and a Season 3 text written in the blue color scheme. In the background, fans can see what appears like the destroyed part of the Verdansk map, lending credence to rumors that the map will get major changes in the coming season.

New maps are also coming in "Black Ops Cold War" and "Warzone" Season 3, according to insider TheGhostofMW, who accurately leaked details about the calling cards and other in-game items in the past. The insider tweeted that Echelon and Standoff maps would be introduced in Season 3.

However, they said the information did not come from their usual source. The Standoff map was featured in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" and many players regarded it as one of the best maps in the franchise. Activision has a tendency to introduce remakes of popular "Call of Duty" maps and this could be one such case.

The Echelon map appears to be a totally new map. It could share some similarities with the Season 2 Apocalypse map. Echelon is set on a building site and has been in the game files as early as Season 1, Dexerto reported.
