Camila Cabello Makes Red Carpet Debut As A Solo Artist At 2017 Grammys After Leaving Fifth Harmony
Camila Cabello made her red carpet debut as a solo artist at the 2017 Grammys after leaving Fifth Harmony in December 2016.
According to People, the 19-year-old “Bad Things” singer presented at the prestigious music event. Cabello wore a silver beaded and sequin-embellished turtle neck gown at the awards show. The singer also posted a photo on her Instagram account while she was being glammed up by her team. Cabello expressed her excitement over attending the event despite not being with her former groupmates.
Last month, Cabello made her first television appearance on the “Ellen Show” since leaving Fifth Harmony. While there, she performed “Bad Things” with Machine Gun Kelly.
Meanwhile, Cabello parted ways with Fifth Harmony four years after the band was put together on the hit reality TV show, “X-Factor.” Cabello has expressed her desire to pursue a solo music career, but former bandmates Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, Ally Brooke Hernandez and Lauren Jauregui said that she did not inform them early on that she wanted to leave the group. The young singer refuted their claims, saying that her former friends were all aware of how she’s been feeling through the conversations they’ve had while they were on tour.
According to Billboard, there’s been tension among the group members for quite some time now, but it is unclear whether it was four against Cabello or there were some groupings. Dinah Jane served as the occasional middle person of the group.
On her Instagram account, Cabello posted a lengthy message addressing the rumors that she’s ungrateful to Fifth Harmony for opening and boosting her career in music. Toward the end of her post, the singer still wished the four remaining members of Fifth Harmony success and happiness.
