Casey Anthony Latest: Details Emerge In Feud With Woman At Florida Bar
Casey Anthony’s trip to a bar in Florida over the weekend turned into a shouting match with another woman. After outlets reported the two were arguing over a man they both dated, the other woman, who has been identified as Thelma Moya, told Fox News there was more to the dispute.
The incident occurred late Sunday at O’Shea’s Irish Pub in West Palm Beach. Police received a call from Anthony reporting a woman throwing drinks at her.
Anthony, 35, has mostly kept a low profile after a jury acquitted her in 2011 of murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter after the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee. The trial captured national attention and significant coverage from tabloid media.
In this recent incident, Anthony told authorities it wasn’t the first time she and the woman had a dispute, but she did not wish to press charges. Anthony claimed she had issues with Moya for years.
Officers on the scene gave her instructions on how to file a restraining order, however, Anthony only wanted the incident documented. Moya later told Fox News that she was “not friends” with Anthony and the argument had “zero to do with an ex-boyfriend.”
“That only reverts to how we originally met,” she explained.
Moya insisted the dispute was deeper than a bitter love triangle. “It wasn’t just over an ex-boyfriend. There’s more to it I wish to not say,” she continued.
Anthony's case was one of the biggest stories of 2011. While she was acquitted of more serious crimes, she was found guilty of giving law enforcement false information during the investigation. For 30 days, Anthony did not report Caylee’s disappearance and made up lies about the child’s whereabouts when her mother questioned her.
Anthony had also told police she worked as an event planner at Universal Studios. After taking investigators to the building on the Universal lot where she claimed she worked, she later admitted that she was not employed there.
Anthony was sentenced to four years in prison and credit for time served.
