Legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor passed away Wednesday morning. She was 79 years old.
She was hospitalized last month for issues regarding congestive heart failure. In 2004 she announced that she has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure, a progressive condition in which the heart is too weak to pump enough blood throughout the body, especially in the ankles and feet.
Taylor, a former child star, grew up to be known for her acting talents, beauty as well as her Hollywood lifestyle. The American Film Institute named Taylor seventh on its Female Legends List. Some of her most famous movies include National Velvet, Father of the Bride, A Place in the Sun and Cleopatra.
Taylor was also known for her multiple weddings. The actress has been married eight times to seven different husbands. As news of the star's death spread a number of celebrities took to Twitter to post their reactions and condolences to Taylor's family. Here are some of the celebrity tweets.
