‘Chicago P.D.’ Season 4 Spoilers: Ruzek Returns From His Undercover Operation, Will Voight Take Him Back? [VIDEO]
Things aren’t looking good for Officer Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) in NBC’s “Chicago P.D.” In Season 4, episode 15, he will return to the Intelligence Unit after completing his undercover gig, but Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) doesn’t exactly welcome him with open arms.
In fact, Voight makes it clear to him that newbie Kenny Rixton (Nick Wechsler) has not only kept his seat warm but he has also replaced him! Moreover, the Sergeant isn’t keen on demoting Rixton so that Ruzek can have his seat back in Intelligence back.
Instead, Voight assigns Ruzek patrol duty. Of course, the Officer makes it clear that he wants to be back on the team. Voight assures him that if a vacancy opens up, he will know about it. Poor Ruzek!
While Burgess’ (Marina Squerciati) former fiancé is busy dealing with his unexpected demotion, the team will reopen a cold case. A girl was murdered by a hitman six months after she started living in Chicago. Her father, desperate to avenge her death, starts looking for the assassin that murdered his daughter.
Lindsay (Sophia Bushg) gets tipped off about a grieving father seeking to avenge his little girl’s death and decides to investigate the case. While Olinsky (Elias Koteas) goes undercover as a hitman-for-hire, the rest of the team revisits the case. Turns out that there isn’t enough evidence to arrest the hitman. Hence, the Intelligence Unit must look for new evidence in order to arrest him.
However, the team soon finds themselves in the middle of a gang war. Fortunately, they do find the murder weapon that was used to kill the girl.
It remains to be seen if Ruzek will get his old position back in “Chicago P.D.” It certainly won’t be easy seeing Burgess in his shoes while he is wearing hers.
