Chris Hemsworth Reveals How Brad Pitt Inspired Him To Chase His Dream
It was after watching Brad Pitt starrer "Legends of the Fall" when Chris Hemsworth decided to choose acting as a profession. Pitt's performance in the 1994 historical drama made Hemsworth pursue his dream, which eventually became his obsession.
During an interview with GQ Australia, the "Extraction" star divulged details about how Pitt’s performances inspired him to be an actor. Hemsworth opened up about how he got star struck with Pitt's charisma and range in "Legends of the Fall" which solidified his career choice. The 36-year old Australian actor then enrolled at Sydney’s Screenwise film and television school.
Aside from Pitt, Hemsworth’s family became his motivation to pursue acting. The actor further shared his aim to afford a more comfortable life for his family once his career kicks off.
“We had grown up with very little money,” the actor told the magazine. “My parents struggled with bills and financial pressures and I thought if I’m an actor, I can get us out of it, I can take care of my family.”
Hemsworth's career propelled to skyrocketing popularity and it hasn't shown signs of dwindling anytime soon, primarily because he doesn't want to refuse projects and lose the momentum. While Hemsworth admits his fear of losing work if he doesn’t work constantly, he also finds staying away from the family completely worth it with the support of his three children and wife Elsa Pataky.
He explained how it seems fine, at first, to travel for work on long trips and believe children might not notice. It only took some time for him to understand his kids do notice his work phase. The "Thor" star absolutely loves to continue doing movies that make him feel proud but he thinks that it can be put on hold as he doesn't want to miss any important moments of his children growing up.
