September was a rough month for actor Chris Zylka. After getting dropped from season two of “American Horror Story” for hesitating to shave his head, Zylka was then dumped by his girlfriend of six months, “Pretty Little Liars” actress Lucy Hale. To top it off, Zylka received some serious backlash from Twitter users after taking to the network to rant over his breakup.

How will he bounce back? With a Twitter apology, of course!

Zylka, 27, initially announced his breakup on Sept. 16, when a fan tweeted him stating, “Your girlfriend is gorgeous and sorta perfect. Just thought you should know.” The actor replied, “don’t have a girlfriend. She decided she was too good.”

His comment received serious backlash on Twitter, with one user telling Zylka they have “no respect for you man,” while another replied, “omg what a d**chey thing to say. Poor Lucy.”

While the former “Secret Circle” star initially tweeted another message stating “Never any disrespect towards anyone,” he still felt the need to clear up the matter a few days later (in a string of seven tweets).

“I’d like to apologize about my previous comments,” Zylka posted on Tuesday. “Lucy is not only the most talented people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing, but also one of the most beautiful inside, an out. Anyone who’s ever watched, or had the pleasure of meeting her knows this to be true. I apologize for tarnishing any view anyone has on this amazing woman. I had the honor of loving her. That love will never fade, as your love should never fade from her as well. She’s going to change the world one day. And the last thing I want to do is be any reason for her to look bad in any way. She’s a remarkable human with an infectious personality, and a heart bigger than anyone’s I’ve ever known. Proud to love her. And I’ll continue to be her biggest fan as I know she will to me too. Love you all and be well and don’t forget ARIA RULES!!!!!”

Zylka seemed to win back some Twitter followers with his apology. Many responded to his statement, replying “That’s very mature of you,” and “That is MUCH better.”

Lucy Hale, who plays high schooler Aria on ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars,” met Chris Zylka at a party last New Year’s Eve, reported Us Weekly. Earlier this month she was spotted out with “Teen Wolf” actor Colton Haynes, causing many to speculate a new romance brewing. Hale however denied the romance rumors, despite numerous photos of the pair sitting closely and smiling.

“I’ve known him from my ‘Privileged’ days, from The CW,” she told NYLON. “I don’t meet a lot of genuine people in my life and he’s a special kind of person, and I try to surround myself with people like that. ... We’re just friends.”
