Christina Anstead's estranged husband, Ant Anstead, is breaking his silence over his split from the “Flip or Flop” star.

The 41-year-old TV presenter addressed their separation on Saturday, taking to Instagram to share his thoughts about Christina and their relationship.

“Anyone who really knows me knows that I don’t like to share private matters publicly,” Anstead captioned a black and white selfie of him and the real estate guru, adding “I have remained silent while holding on to hope.”

“I never gave up on us. I pray Christina’s decision brings her happiness,” he continued.

Ant’s post comes almost a week after they publicly announced that they were calling it quits nearly two years after tying the knot. At the time, Christina didn’t give a hint regarding the reason why they decided to go their separate ways in her Instagram post announcing the breakup.

“Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate. We are grateful for each other and as always, our children will remain our priority. We appreciate your support and ask for privacy for us and our family as we navigate the future," Christina captioned a photo of her and Ant on Sept. 18.

Meanwhile, Christina recently detailed how fame affected her in a lengthy Instagram post. She also talked about how she never thought she would go through two divorces.

“I never thought I would have 2 baby daddies - but sometimes life throws us curve balls. Instead of getting stuck in these 'setbacks' I choose to look at these challenges as opportunities to grow,” Christina wrote.

An insider previously told People that Ant and Christina have been experiencing marital issues since last year, specifically after they welcomed their son in September 2019. The tipster said that the HGTV star felt “lonely and unhappy” despite having a large blended family.

Christina shares two more children with ex and “Flip or Flop” co-star Tarek El Moussa, while Ant has two kids with ex-wife Louise Herbert.

“Christina found it difficult to balance everything,” the source explained.
