‘Claws’ Season 1 Spoilers: Episode 3 Synopsis, Trailer Released; What Will Happen In ‘Quicksand’?

Virginia (Karrueche Tran) will continue making up stories to conceal Roller’s (Jack Kesy) murder in Season 1, episode 3 of TNT’s “Claws.”

According to the synopsis for the episode, titled “Quicksand,” Virginia’s lies deepen as her partner in crime Desna (Niecy Nash) tries to cover their tracks. In the trailer for the episode, Virginia tells Clay, a.k.a. Uncle Daddy (Dean Norris), that the men who murdered Roller had also took her to the swamp where the remains of her late lover were found. While Virginia’s made-up story sounds believable, there are parts of it that suggest that the younger manicurist is not used to lying.

“They took me out to the swamp. There were pig growls,” Virginia says in the clip.

“You mean, oinking?” a curious Desna asks.

“Yeah,” Virginia replies.

In Season 1, episode 2, Virginia and Desna pulled Roller’s body out of the pool and dragged it down to his motorboat. The duo then turned the boat’s power on, set it on fire and untied the rope connecting it to the dock. Desna thought that Roller’s place had to look like there had been a struggle, so she took Roller’s gun and shot it at the glass wall. Before leaving the murder scene, Desna told Virginia not to tell anything about Roller’s murder to anyone. Desna also told her that she would pick her up tomorrow morning and take her to the salon.

But Virginia went MIA. With a little help from Virginia’s housemate, Desna tracked Virginia’s whereabouts and found out that she got spooked. Although Desna learned that Virginia doesn’t know if she can trust her yet, Desna told her to show up at Roller’s funeral so Uncle Daddy won’t suspect that she’s responsible for Roller’s murder.

While Virginia didn’t show up at Roller’s funeral, she did make a big entrance at the “after-party.” Covered in bruises and scratches, Virginia stumbled in at the venue and said: “They got me. They were gonna murder me, too.”

Also in next week’s episode, Desna and Bryce (Kevin Rankin) are in danger of Uncle Daddy’s wrath when something goes awry at the clinic. While it’s unclear what exactly will go down at the clinic, the trailer for the episode shows a client seemingly fainting and collapsing to the ground.

Meanwhile, Desna is still determined to get her dream salon despite failing the “secret shopper” test last episode.
