CMA Awards Best & Worst Dressed 2016: Miranda Lambert, Anderson East, Carrie Underwood, Elle King And More [PHOTOS]

Some of the hottest country music stars flooded the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday for the 50th annual Country Music Association Awards (CMAs). Before the killer performances started and awards were handed out, the celebrities walked the red carpet in their dazzling gowns and Western-inspired suits.

Miranda Lambert and her boyfriend Anderson East were one of several couples who made International Business Times’ best dressed list. The “Vice” singer looked absolutely stunning in a black and sheer cut-out George Hobeika gown. East matched Lambert’s outfit with a sharp black suit and white shirt.

Luke Bryan also made the best dressed list, wearing a deep blue suit with a bow tie and white shirt. His wife, Caroline Boyer looked just as dazzling as her superstar husband in a sheer multicolored gown.

Other stars who totally rocked the red carpet were singer Kelsea Ballerini and Carrie Underwood. Ballerini told CMT at the awards show that she found her floral print Michael Costello gown on Instagram. “I took a screenshot of it, sent it to my stylist and said, ‘This is my CMA dress. I just know it.’ We got it and it fit perfectly. So it was meant to be,” she said. Clearly, Ballerini has a good eye for fashion because she looked amazing on the red carpet.

Underwood, who returned as this year’s host along with Brad Paisley, had several outfit changes throughout the night but walked the red carpet in a beautiful blush Michael Cinco gown embellished with Swarovski crystals and pearls.

Although a number of celebrities nailed their red carpet looks, there were a few misses during the award’s show. Singer Kacey Musgraves unfortunately made the worst dressed list, along with Kimberly Williams-Paisley and more.

Musgraves was dressed in Christian Siriano for the event, but the tiered tulle was just a little too much. The emerald green color of Williams-Paisley’s Rubin Singer gown looked amazing on her, but the cut and layout seemed a bit off. For that reason, the “Father of the Bride” actress’ gown was a miss.
