CMA Awards Red Carpet 2017: Best And Worst Dressed Celebrity Looks
On Wednesday night, stars flooded into the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee for the 2017 CMA Awards. While the show focused on celebrating country music’s best and brightest, it was hard not to notice all of the major fashion moments going onin the venue during the night of entertainment and recognition.
Check out some of the best and worst dressed stars who walked the red carpet at the 51st annual Country Music Association Awards below:
Miranda Lambert was definitely the belle of the ball when she hit the red carpet thanks to her icy blue embroidered tulle Tony Ward gown, which featured a belt around her waist that accentuated her figure. Aside from her red carpet win, Lambert picked up the award for female vocalist of the year.
Pink also made a grand entrance in a white tiered ruffled dress featuring a black belt. The star, who was nominated for vocal event of the year for the song, “Setting the World on Fire” with Kenny Chesney, was accompanied by her daughter, Willow Hart, who dressed up in a tiered navy gown and tiara.
Model Karlie Kloss made a major statement by dazzling onlookers in her red beaded Elie Saab couture gown.
However, the stunning Ruby Rose experienced a fashion fail in her silver sequined dress that resembled a disco ball.
Rose wasn’t the only star to miss the mark on the red carpet. Lea Michele didn’t impress many with her beaded and feathered Zuhair Murad mini dress.
Meanwhile, Maren Morris didn’t look remotely red carpet ready in her sheer gown with tiered embellishments, which looked more like beach wear rather than award show attire.
Both Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire managed to land in the best dressed category by keeping their looks fairly simple. Underwood, who co-hosted the ceremony with Brad Paisley, wore a cobalt gown with embellished sleeves.
McEntire rocked a grey gown featuring shimmering stones with black panels and chained tassels hanging from her shoulders.
Faith Hill’s Armani Privé gown would have been a red carpet win with its detailed embroidery and black crystals, but the puffy shoulder covered half her face and made her couture gown look like a prom dress gone terribly wrong.
Other stars who failed to impress on the red carpet include Cam and Madeline, while Kimberly Schlapman, Kelsea Ballerini and Danielle Bradbery all had major fashion moments.
