It’s that time of year again when you throw on your muscle tee or flower crown, or both if you’re feeling brave, and make your way out to the middle of the desert because Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Weekend One is just about here.
It’s hard to ignore the massive festival that draws in thousands and floods your social media timelines with tons of photos with “#Coachella” written in the caption. Whether you have yet to attend or have gone many times, there are several things to look forward to during this three-day festival.
Here are four things to look forward at Coachella 2017 that will guarantee you have a good time:
1. Neon Carnival
If you haven’t been to it, you have at least heard of the Neon Carnival. This year, Brent Bolthouse, the creator of The Bungalow, will bring back the invite-only desert bash for its eighth year in a row featuring new games, rides and its continued partnerships with the likes of the Levi’s Brand, which will headline the event once again, and the return of Tequila Don Julio for the third time.
This time around, along with their wristbands, guests will be required to show their complimentary Lokai bracelet for entry into the carnival. Once inside, they can enjoy the Bud Light space where they can cool off and grab a drink, the hip hair styling stations hosted by Batiste Dry Shampoo and other services. Guests will experience this all while enjoying the sounds of Kayper, DJ Politik, Jesse Marco and DJ Ruckus. The Neon Carnival begins April 15 at 10 p.m.
Past celebrity attendees include Nina Dobrev, Taylor Swift, A$AP Rocky, Shay Mitchell, Leonardo DiCaprio, Rihanna, Zedd, Karlie Kloss and Karrueche Tran among others.
2. Parties
If you happen to get an invite, Coachella can be much much more than a music festival due to epic parties that are hosted in the desert. Typically attend by your favorite celebrity with amazing DJ’s and hosts, your experience can easily turn into a luxurious one if you are lucky enough to attend one of these events.
Katy Perry’s Easter Day Brunch

While there, guest can check out the exclusive pop-up debuting the Katy Perry Footwear collection, drink vitamin elixirs, hit the oxygen bar and relax with reflexology massages. Those who stick around will later be able to participate in the Cover Girl Easter egg hunt with the sounds of DJ sets by Mia Moretti, Balthazar Getty and Bobby French playing in the background.
REVOLVE Festival
REVOLVE will present the #REVOLVEFestival for its second year in a row, running on Saturday and Sunday between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time.
