Country Music Awards 2014: The Best And Worst Dressed Stars From The CMAs Red Carpet [PHOTOS]
Country music’s biggest stars brought out their fashion best, and in some cases, their worst, for the 48th annual Country Music Association Awards in Nashville, Tennessee, Wednesday night. Here’s a roundup of the best and worst dressed stars from the red carpet.
Best
Kimberly Williams-Paisley
Brad Paisley killed it onstage at the CMAs, but it was his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who knocked it out of the park on the red carpet. The “According to Jim" star’s floor-length, Romona Keveza designer gown made her one of our fashion winners.
Miranda Lambert
Fresh off the heels of a speculated 45-pound weight loss, singer Miranda Lambert looked like a superstar on the red carpet. She wins extra credit for her perfectly styled hairdo and blush-colored gown. (Her date, husband and singer Blake Shelton, didn’t look too shabby either.)
Lucy Hale
Country newcomer and “Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale looked ravishing in red. The pop of color on her lips helped bring her entire ensemble together.
Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood's high-low, champagne-colored gown was the perfect choice for her figure. Her matching heels and curled locks only added to the overall perfection of her award show look.
Worst
Nicole Kidman
Red carpet gown or repurposed drapes? You decide. Actress Nicole Kidman’s white lace gown looked more like something I would hang on my windows than wear at an A-list event.
Gretchen Wilson
"Redneck Woman" singer Gretchen Wilson looked more like she was running errands than attending an award show Wednesday. Her ripped jeans, knee-high boots and black halter top is all kinds of inappropriate for a red carpet event.
Jonathan Jackson
"Nashville" actor Jonathan Jackson’s wrinkled coat and overall sloppy getup earned him a one-way ticket to our worst dressed list.
Ashley Monroe
Ashley Monroe's sparkly ensemble was arguably the shortest dress of the night. Let’s hope the singer/songwriter had something on underneath that getup.
Bonus
Best Dressed Couple
Luke Bryan not only won for entertainer of the year Wednesday night, the singer also also wins our award for the best dressed male. His wife Caroline’s white, floor-length gown looked equally stunning, also earning the duo our pick for best dressed couple.
Worst Dressed Couple
Granted, it was the CMAs so a cowboy hat is considered acceptable, but singer Jason Aldean’s ripped jeans and bare chest are not red carpet worthy. His fiancée Brittany Kerr's black floor-length gown and gold headband only added to the overall confusion of their attire.
Most Adorable Twosome
Talk about a cute couple: “Nashville” stars and singing sisters Lennon (left) and Maisy Stella looked adorably put together with their semimatching black dresses.
Worst Hair
Halloween is over, Kacey! Singer Kacey Musgraves' hairdo landed her with our award for the worst hair. Sometimes, less is more.
