The CW canceled six shows on Thursday as it reportedly continues to negotiate a possible sale of the network to the station group Nexstar.

The network revealed that “Charmed,” “Dynasty, and “Roswell, New Mexico” will not return. Meanwhile, “The 4400” and “Naomi” were both canceled after one season.

The CW also announced that “In the Dark” will not be renewed beyond its fourth season, which is set to air in June.

The cancellation of the shows resulted in the network becoming a trending topic on Twitter. Many fans lashed out at The CW and shared their feelings about the decision to end the shows without proper finales.

“Just found out The CW canceled ‘Dynasty.’ Can we cancel The CW?!” one person tweeted.

One person suggested that The CW may have canceled the shows after failing to advertise them. “I think the problem with The CW is they bite off more than they can chew…there’s no reason you should have all these shows if you can’t promote them properly and know they won’t last. Wasting actors and crews’ time,” the individual wrote.

The round of cancellations comes after reports that The CW’s corporate backers, Discovery’s Warner Bros. TV and CBS Studios, were looking to part ways with the network.

On Thursday, The CW announced that “All American: Homecoming” would be renewed for Season 2. Meanwhile, “Riverdale,” “All American,” “The Flash,” “Superman & Lois,” “Kung Fu,” “Walker,” and “Nancy Drew” were renewed in March.

The network has yet to announce whether “Legacies,” “Stargirl,” and “Tom Swift” will be renewed.
