‘Dancing With The Stars’ 2016 Rumors: ‘Fuller House’ Star Jodie Sweetin Might Hit The Ballroom Floor In Season 22
Stephanie Tanner is following in the footsteps of her big sister D.J. and making her way to the ballroom.
According to reports, “Fuller House” star Jodie Sweetin will be hitting the dance floor when Season 22 of “Dancing With the Stars” returns in March. An insider dished to Us Weekly that that 34-year-old actress has signed on for the 2016 installment, making Sweetin the first celebrity contestant hinted to bust a move in the upcoming season.
Sweetin’s “Fuller House” co-star — and TV sister — Candace Cameron Bure previously competed on the hit ABC series during Season 18, earning third-place alongside her partner Mark Ballas. Throughout the competition, Bure revealed her “Full House” family was incredibly supportive of decision to participate in the dance series.
In fact, audiences even witnessed a mini-“Full House” reunion when Lori Loughlin, who played Aunt Becky on the show, and Andrea Barber, who portrayed Kimmy Gibbler, visited Bure and Ballas during their rehearsal.
But now it’s Sweetin’s time to shine — and, perhaps, take home that Mirror Ball trophy!
During an interview with NJ.com, Sweetin revealed she’s been dancing for decades.
“I was always a dancer. I started dancing when I was like three, and I don't know if you called what I did great dancing, but it was fun,” she revealed, adding that she loved the art so much that the “Full House” writers incorporated her hobby into her character. “The girls I danced with in ‘Full House’ were girls I actually trained with in the studio. So I danced outside the show and they sort of incorporated that as part of the character for Stephanie.”
