‘Dancing With The Stars’ 2017: How The Season 24 Pairs Are Preparing For Week 4
“Dancing With the Stars” Season 24, Week 4 is going to be good. The pairs have been tasked with putting together routines based on the most memorable year of their lives. This week is always an emotional one on “DWTS,” allowing partners to get a better understanding of one another.
The 10 remaining teams have been working on their Week 4 routines all week long, updating fans along the way. The “DWTS” duos really buckled down over the weekend, spending their days in the studio together. Many teams shared progress photos and videos, teasing what’s to come on Monday’s ABC show.
Here’s how the “DWTS” Season 24 pairs prepared for Week 4:
Team Golden Giggles
Simone Biles and Sasha Farber have been all smiles throughout Season 24 of “DWTS,” but that may change in Week 4. Sasha shared a photo from a weekend practice session along with a heartfelt message for Simone. In it, he commended her for powering through great obstacles.
Simone has yet to share any of her story with fans. She did, however, share a photo from the “DWTS” set. In it, she and Sasha are standing together and laughing. Simone teased what was to come, asking her fans if they were “ready” to hear her co-star’s stories.
Neither photo gives any insight into what Simone and Sasha have up their sleeves this week, but we’re looking forward to it. Team Golden Giggles has been holding strong toward the top of the “DWTS” leaderboard and will likely stay there throughout much of the competition. They wowed viewers and judges alike in Week 3, just as they have throughout the entirety of the competition.
Team Denim And Diamonds
Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess have to come back in a major way in Week 4. The pair performed an underwhelming Charleston in Week 3 and while they were totally bummed about their low scores, they’re not ready to hang up their cowboy hats and go home yet. Bonner shared a sneak peek of their emotional routine on Instagram.
He revealed that his most memorable year was 2016, highlighting his rise to stardom in the bull riding circuit in voiceover on his video. That same year, Bonner suffered a major injury that changed his life and brought his career to a screeching halt. He didn’t mention what kind of dance he and Sharna were working on.
Team Shad Squad
Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater are tapping into the former NFL superstar’s emotional side once more in “DWTS” Week 4. Emma shared a photo from the set of the ABC competition series in which it appears Rashad is down on one knee. The photo suggests that they may revisit the same past relationship he discussed ahead of his Week 2 performance.
Rashad didn’t share any photos from his practices with Emma, but did upload a poem about his nerves. Will they hinder his abilities in the ballroom? Only time will tell.
Team Blades Of Glory
Nancy Kerrigan and Artem Chigvintsev pulled ahead of their competitors during “DWTS” Week 3. Will their streak continue in Week 4 as they return to perform a foxtrot routine? Nancy and Artem both shared glimpses into what they’ve been working on for Monday’s show and we’re excited.
In addition to showing off their moves on Instagram, they gave fans a look at how the stage will be set up when they step into the spotlight. Nancy teased a “special moment,” though she’s not yet given any indication when her most memorable year took place. The former professional ice skater thanked her pro partner for “making this so meaningful.”
Team Valmani
Normani Kordei and Val Chmerkovskiy have been jet setting once again. The pair flew to Malaysia this week so Normani could perform with the rest of Fifth Harmony and sneak in a few “DWTS” practices when possible. While she was busy, Val and a friend explored a bit and shared as many sights as possible with fans.
While neither Normani nor Val shared video from their practice sessions, the “DWTS” pro did share a special message for his partner and the rest of Fifth Harmony. He snapped a photo from behind the scenes of the four young women preparing for a show together, thanking them for allowing him to tag along. In closing, he wrote that they “deserve every ounce of the success,” wishing them “continued blessings.”
Here’s hoping jetlag serves Normani and Val as well as it has in the last few weeks.
Team Maksimum Heat
“DWTS” fans are chomping at the bit, waiting to find out whether Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who injured himself in Week 2, will return to the ballroom as he planned in Week 4. It does not appear his calf injury is quite healed enough yet for him to return. Heather shared a photo from her weekend practice, showing “DWTS” troupe member Alan Bersten still standing in for her partner.
While Maks may not be back to dancing in Week 4, he’s still on set to support Heather, Alan and his fiancée Peta Murgatroyd. Alan shared a set photo on Instagram, showing himself, Heather and Maks smiling while chit chatting. He didn’t share any details, but added several smiling emojis to the picture.
Team Lady And The Gramp
David Ross and Lindsay Arnold have brought the fun to “DWTS” since their first routine together in Week 1, but they’ve got to get serious about the moves if they hope to make it to the end. David shared a video from the studio on Sunday, though it’s not clear whether it’s footage from before their Week 3 routine or something new he and Lindsay are working on.
Lindsay shared a photo from “DWTS” Week 3, writing that she was looking forward to showing off what they put together for Week 4. She said that while they’ve got something great coming down the pike, she can’t stop thinking about the “Magic Mike” themed routine she and David performed on April 3.
Team Dancing Fools
Mr. T and Kym Herjavec (nee Johnson) have had an “emotional week” according to her latest post on Instagram. She and Mr. T are working on a Waltz for Week 4, which will hopefully score high enough to keep them on “DWTS” Season 24. Viewers have been betting on their elimination since before the premiere, though they’ve yet to be on the chopping block.
Team Baby Got Bach
Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd are going to have to pull out something great if they plan to stay in the “DWTS” Season 24 cast. Nick hasn’t shared any photos or video from their practices, but Peta’s has us on edge. The pro dancer shared a photo of her and her partner in an epic pose, teasing “the best ending.”
Team Pretty Xxpensive (Erika Jayne and Gleb Savchenko) have yet to share updates with fans on their routine. Tune in to “DWTS” Season 24, Week 4 Monday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
