‘Dancing With The Stars’ 2017 Spoilers: How The Duos Are Preparing For Week 1

“Dancing With the Stars” fans are ready to get back in the ballroom, but are the 12 competing duos? The cast of the ABC dancing competition spent the weekend putting the final touches on their Season 24, Week 1 routines.

The teams excitedly shared behind-the-scenes photos and videos on Instagram and Twitter, giving “DWTS” fans a glimpse into what’s to come on Monday night. While most were hard at work on their routines, some worked on strength and/or team building.

Last week viewers got an idea of what to expect from Week 1 of “DWTS.” An official list of songs each team are performing to, as well as they style they’ll be attempting, was released to People magazine. Along with that information was some about what “DWTS” fans hope to see based on betting odds. Get all that and more here.

Check out how each of the Season 24 “DWTS” teams got in the zone ahead of Week 1 below:

Team Maksimum Heat

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Heather Morris spent their weekend in the studio working on their Week 1 routine. If the “DWTS” pro’s photo is an indication, the pair were busting their butts for perfection. Heather shared a photo of her own snapped in the ballroom rather than the studio.

Team Valmani

Val Chmerkovskiy and Normani Kordei — who appear to have ditched the team name Booty and the Beast in favor of something shorter — were all over the place this weekend. The “DWTS” pro shared photos of he and his partner working on their routine in the studio before spending some time with her family. Val snapped a video of he and Normani’s grandma dancing together and we’re impressed!

He was also able to squeeze in a meeting with Laurie Hernandez, whom he danced with in Season 23 of “DWTS.” The pair were all smiles in one Instagram photo, though the tiny-but-mighty Olympian put on quite a show in a video posted to Val’s Instagram story. Laurie jokingly cried about Val returning to “DWTS” with a new partner — in reality, she’s rooting for him to win another Mirror Ball.

Team Cuchi Cuchi

Keo Motsepe and Charo nailed their form over the weekend. The “DWTS” pro snapped a picture of he and Charo in the ballroom posing together. He urged fans to tune in and catch their first routine.

Charo shared her own quick video, previewing her high energy for fans. She, Keo and other “DWTS” folks posed together to announce their appearance on “Good Morning America” over the weekend. Charo is, of course, the most excited of the bunch, flipping her hair and shaking her hips.

Kym Johnson And Mr. T

These two have yet to show “DWTS” fans how they mesh in the ballroom, but it’s clear that they’re getting along just fine. Kym shared an adorable video of her teaching Mr. T to tweet. Rather than join the social media site, he wrote his feelings down on paper and we can’t get enough.

Artem Chigvintsev And Nancy Kerrigan

While fans await a team name for this “DWTS” Season 24 pair, they’ve been hard at work on their moves. Nancy shared a quick video of herself doing a split with Artem’s assistance, calling him “very patient.”

She later snapped a picture of her and Artem on the “DWTS” set. They pair weren’t dancing at the time, but appeared to be either waiting their turn or taking a break. Nancy said the energy in the ballroom was “great.”

Team Pretty Xxpensive

Gleb Savchenko and Erika Girardi have some serious tricks up their sleeve. This “DWTS” duo has been transparent with fans ahead of Season 24 and each photo or video leaves us more excited than the last. In his most recent post, Gleb can be seen doing a tricky dip with Erika.

Erika shared the same photo before posting a glam shot of herself in a sparkly costume. She appears to be sitting in a trailer on the “DWTS” lot. The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star gave no indication of how things were going, but urged fans to tune in.

Team Golden Giggles

Sasha Farber and Simone Biles spent their weekend doing a little team building. The pair gathered to celebrate Simone’s birthday. They were joined in celebration by the one and only Demi Lovato.

Simone marked her big day in a special way. According to her Instagram, she got her first tattoo over the weekend. The Olympic gymnast got the signature five rings tattooed on her forearm several months after she and her teammates took home several gold medals at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Team Shad Squad

Emma Slater and Rashad Jennings have been working on building strength. The pair shared the same outtake video on Instagram of a tricky exercise they were attempting with only their legs and a big ball. It may not have gone as planned, but it’s evident these two have great chemistry.

Rashad later snapped a video of himself playing the guitar to unwind after a long weekend of practice. He wagered with Emma in his caption, requesting that she do vocals if he does well in Week 1 on “DWTS.” We’ll have to tune in to find out if they do as well as projected.

Team Mango Tango

Witney Carson and Chris Kattan were busy this weekend. The pair snapped photos in and out of both the ballroom and the studio. The “SNL” alumnus was able to grab a quick photo with his partner and some of the other “DWTS” competition while taking a break on the set.

When they weren’t practicing, Witney and Chris were being interviewed about the show. He snapped a picture of them posing together afterward. Both were dressed to the nines and all smiles!

Team Lady And The Gramp

Lindsay Arnold and David Ross did some serious bonding this weekend. The former Major League Baseball player took his “DWTS” Season 24 partner on a tour of Wrigley Field. She and David posed for a picture together all decked out in Cubs jerseys and baseball gear.

Team Baby Got Bach

Peta Murgatroyd and Nick Viall gave a fun look inside the “DWTS” ballroom via Instagram. The pro performer posed with “The Bachelor” star on the set, joking about his cha cha ability. She called on America to “be the judge” by tuning in and casting their votes.

Outside the ballroom Peta and Nick invited respective significant others Maks Chmerkovskiy and Vanessa Grimaldi out for a double date night. Nick shared a paparazzi shot of their group. In the caption he claimed Peta’s fiancé was “the only one not rooting for” their team.

Team Denim and Diamonds, which consists of “DWTS” pro Sharna Burgess and model/bull rider Bonner Bolton, was the only one not to share any photos over the weekend. The pair has been hard at work, however, and have identified who they’re most excited to share the ballroom with. While some fans have counted out Kym and Mr. T, Bonner was certain ahead of the competition that they will have some moves.
