‘Dancing With The Stars’ Pro Peta Murgatroyd Shows Fans How She Balances Competition And Motherhood
Peta Murgatroyd’s life is a balancing act. The new mom returned to “Dancing With the Stars” in Season 24 months after giving birth, which hasn’t been easy.
Peta, 30, gave fans of the ABC dancing competition a glimpse into her dance with motherhood and the show on Instagram. After performing with Nick Viall in Week 2 on Monday she returned to her dressing room to to pump. The breastfeeding mother joked that her “milkshakes do not bring all the boys to the yard.”
Despite the chaos of balancing baby Shai’s needs and “DWTS,” Peta and Nick — dubbed Team Baby Got Bach — are off to a great start. The pair debuted strong in Week 1, performing a Cha Cha routine for 24 points. They came back strong in Week 2 with a Foxtrot, scoring 25 out of 40 points.
The pair weren’t pleased with their performance. They took to social media after to plead with fans to vote for them, allowing them to continue in the competition. Nick called himself Nervous Nick, promising to shake the title as “DWTS” went on.
Outside the ballroom Peta and Nick have another interesting battle to fight. William Shatner has declared war against the duo, telling “DWTS” fans to vote for “anyone but Nick.” He gave no reason for the feud, but has called “The Bachelor” star out for his treatment of women.
Week 3 of “DWTS” is Vegas Week. The dancing duos will provide fans with over-the-top performances in the hopes of surviving elimination. Will Peta and Nick be mirror ball trophy contenders?
Tune in to “DWTS” Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC to find out.
