‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Steve Treats Kayla As Tripp Plans Revenge
They think he’s finally coming around and accepting the family he has found in Salem. However, as Steve and Kayla go about their business, they will be blissfully unaware that Tripp actually has much more sinister plans in motion on the Thursday, May 25 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”
After tracking him down in Arizona, Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) brought Tripp (Lucas Adams) to Salem to meet his brother, Joey (James Lastovic) and get to know the family he didn’t have. Things quickly went sour for the family though on the NBC soap when Tripp learned his mother, Ava, was dead, and that Steve was the one who killed her. Since then though, he has become suspicious that his father isn’t the one who killed his mom, and has been on the hunt to figure out who the real killer was ever since.
Tripp has also grown close to Joey’s ex-girlfriend, Jade (Gabrielle Haugh) since coming to town, and after Kayla realized that Jade was trying to do anything she could to get Joey back, the friendly atmosphere between them ended, and Kayla informed the young woman that she was no longer going to give her financial assistance either. Out of revenge, Jade, who knows the real story behind Ava’s death, hinted to Tripp that Steve killing her was a lie, and intent on getting payback on Kayla for burning her, she told him that Steve was covering for Kayla, who was the real killer.
Now, Tripp, who has also forged a relationship with his mother’s Italian mobster relatives, is making plans to avenge his mother’s death, because he doesn’t believe she was as crazy and vindictive as she’s been painted out to be by Steve and Kayla. Part of his plan has included warming back up to Steve and getting close to Kayla by working at the hospital as well and shadowing her, making it seem like he’s finally adjusting and accepting them. He hopes that this will mean he can catch them off-guard when he finally makes his big move.

However, Tripp has no idea that Jade played him and, much like Steve, lied to him about who actually killed Ava. While it is true that Steve didn’t kill her and is covering for someone else, Kayla isn’t the person who committed the crime. It was in fact Joey, who felt broken-hearted by her betrayal after she used him to get close to his parents again. If Joey happens to figure out his half-brother’s plan for revenge, then he may wind up being forced to come clean once and for all and face the consequences, before his mother pays the ultimate price.
“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
