‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: What Does Will Remember About His Past?

He had previously regained a few memories of his past thanks to the miracle serum but didn’t have a major breakthrough. That will all change however on the Thursday, Aug. 23 episode of “Days of Our Lives,” as Will finally regains his memories with a major breakthrough.

In the past, following the injection of the serum, Will (Chandler Massey) regained some small memories of his life in Salem prior to his presumed death on the NBC soap., In addition to remembering how his grandmother, Kate (Lauren Koslow) accepted him after he came out, he did remember when he and Sonny (Freddie Smith) said “I love you” to one another for the first time. However, he has remained committed to the new life he has built with Paul (Christopher Sean) since, because he doesn’t remember the deep feelings from before, which has discouraged his former husband.

Now though, as he prepares for his other grandmother, Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) wedding, he will have a massive breakthrough—one which will be crucial to determining his future, and which man he winds up with.

It’s unclear what will spark the massive breakthrough, but a preview clip for the week’s episodes (see above) showed Will remembering what looked like his wedding to Sonny, which Marlena had officiated. If he remembers the wedding, and it opens the floodgates of every other feeling and memory he had in regards to his past relationship, it will be the thing he needs in order to reset his life—and potentially reunite with Sonny.

However, spoilers tease that Sonny resolves to forget any chance he might have with Will, following his recent admission that he still loved him, which Will had gently shot down. If he is truly deciding to move on this time, will it be too late for the couple?

Of course, everyone else could become distracted by John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena’s wedding, as things are certainly not going to go off without a hitch—especially when Will’s mother, Sami (Allison Sweeney), who wasn’t supposed to show, randomly crashes and appears to be in a fearful state when she does.
