He fell out of a three-story window and survived, but Paul will learn some devastating news regarding his future on the Tuesday, Sept. 11 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Paul (Christopher Sean) finally woke up following his surgery, which came after he tried to get Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) gun away from her, leading to both falling out a third-story window at the Salem Inn. Kristen escaped without a scratch on the NBC soap, but Paul wasn’t as lucky. Since waking up, he has realized he can’t feel his legs, and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) ran a series of tests to find out why. Now, she will give him some devastating news—which could crush the former star baseball player in a way he never expected.

Kayla may be forced to reveal to Paul that his fall is certainly responsible for the sudden lack of feeling in his legs, but she may also wind up having to tell him that it may not be a temporary situation, and it could be something permanent. If that is the news she bears, Paul will be devastated, because his life will never be the same as a result of his injuries.

Of course, this won’t be the only devastating news Paul is set to receive, though for now, it is likely the only thing he’s going to hear about. He knows Will (Chandler Massey) finally got back all of his memories at the wedding, but he doesn’t know what that means specifically for his relationship.

After leaving the wedding when he began to remember his own nuptials to Sonny (Freddie Smith), Will ran into his one-time husband, and the two finally reunited. They have since decided to officially give their relationship a try again, but that has meant that Will needs to end his relationship with Paul. He was going to tell him, but Paul then wound up in the hospital.

Since then, Will has been hesitant to tell Paul the entire truth and story. Now, after learning about what his injuries could mean, he may be forced to delay his news, and his future with Sonny, as a result.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
