KEY POINTS

  • Deadpool will join the MCU in the next movie
  • Wade will have to explain how he joined MCU
  • Marvel can do this through a funny scene in "Deadpool 3"

“Deadpool 3” will be the first film in which Ryan Reynolds’ character will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). A new theory explores how this movie can explain Wade’s absence in the previous movies when the world faced multiple threats, most recent of which was from Thanos (Josh Brolin).

After Disney acquired 21st Century Fox, Wade is all set to join the other superheroes from Marvel. The upcoming film, however, will have to explain why the character did not fight alongside the other superheroes in “Avengers: Endgame,” and there are multiple ways in which this can be done.

Deadpool is a unique character who knows that he is a character in a movie. According to Screen Rant, this can be used to explain why he was missing in the previous Marvel movies.

One way for Wade to tell the audience that he is now a part of MCU is by directly talk about Disney acquiring 21st Century Fox. This could also be done in a funny scene in “Deadpool 3,” in which Wade binge watches all the Marvel movies in front of the camera.

Wade could also insert himself in the previous events in the MCU by talking about the battles as though he was there. The Merc with a Mouth could also be seen joining Marvel through the multiverse.

Reynolds’ character joining MCU has opened up many possibilities. One of the things the fans would like to see is the Merc with a Mouth teaming up with a character from the MCU, Screen Rant reported.

While there may be some new characters joining “Deadpool 3,” there may be one of Wade’s friends missing. After suggesting that he is not interested to make another movie as Weasel, T.J. Miller may not be returning to the franchise, We Got This Covered reported. The studio is reportedly considering recasting the role.
