Samsung did not introduce a new Galaxy Tab S installment last year following the fiasco it got into with the problematic Galaxy Note 7. The South Korea tech giant did not confirm that the phablet disrupted its calendar, but the global recall is believed to have caused the postponement of the next-in-line tablet.

This 2017, Samsung’s unannounced tablet could finally see the light of the day as recent reports are pointing at a possible release in the first quarter. If PhoneArena’s report is to be believed, the Galaxy Tab S3 could launch in the next few weeks or during the Mobile World Congress this February.

Late last year, the Galaxy Tab S3 was spotted by many sources on Zauba, India’s import- and export-tracking website. Prior which, several reports surfaced claiming that Samsung was publicly unveiling its next-generation Tab S at IFA in September 2016. However, things did not work out as planned, so the South Korean company had to push the release of the tablet aside.

This week, there is another reason to believe that the Galaxy Tab S3 is going to become official soon. SamMobile has learned that the tablet has already received Bluetooth and WiFi certifications. Such certifications were granted to Samsung’s device with the model number SM-T825, which is reportedly debuting as the Tab S3.

Though there is now proof that a new Samsung tablet is launching soon, details about the device’s specs and features remain scarce. However, the tablet is expected to have flagship-level specifications by consumers who have followed the Galaxy Tab S line. It won’t come as a shock if the device would come equipped with the latest processor, a huge RAM and some of the best internals available.

Since Samsung did not showcase or even talk about a new tablet at CES 2017 this week, many tech sites are now claiming that the company could be eyeing the MWC as the perfect venue for the introduction of its delayed device. Hopefully, when that time comes, the Galaxy Tab S3 would get the spotlight it longed to bask in since last year
