Demi Lovato's New Beau Is 'A Good Influence' For This Reason
“The Young and the Restless” alum Max Ehrich has apparently been cozying up with Demi Lovato amid the coronavirus pandemic. A source told E! News that the 28-year-old’s wholesome ways have had a positive effect on the “I Love Me” singer.
“They have been quarantining together at Demi’s house and it’s going really well,” the source told the outlet. “Max is very into music and health and he doesn’t like to party. He is a good influence on Demi and they have a lot in common.”
The “Anyone” singer appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" earlier this month where she opened up about taking control of her life after an on-and-off battle with bulimia and alcoholism.
"Ultimately, I made the decisions that got me to where I am today,” she said at the time. “It was my actions that put me in the position that I'm in. I think it's important that I sit here on this stage and tell you at home or you in the audience or you right here that if you do go through this, you yourself can get through it. You can get to the other side and it may be bumpy, but you are a 10 out of 10, don't forget it. And as long as you take the responsibility you can move past it and learn to love yourself the way you deserve to be loved."
As Lovato continues her journey of self-love, she’s also shown some to Ehrich on social media. The two shared a flirty exchange on Instagram after the “High School Musical 3” actor shared a shirtless photo of himself on Tuesday.
Ehrich, who is known for his soap opera role as Fenmore Baldwin, captioned the post: “when u realize u should’ve packed more for your quarantine stay... have a blessed Monday filled with health, happiness, safety, joy, love, & laughter <3”
Lovato replied with, “Fine by me,” which earned nearly 1,600 likes from Instagram users.
“They have a few mutual friends in common, but Demi has been introducing Max to her closest friends via facetime since being quarantined,” the insider told E! News. “It’s very new, but they are definitely hanging out and seeing where it leads,”
Ehrich and Lovato’s budding romance comes only three months after her relationship with model Austin Wilson ended, US Weekly reports. There is no word on why that relationship ended, but things are reportedly moving steadily with the former Disney Channel actress and Ehrich.
“Demi and Max have been seeing each other for a few weeks now,” the source told E! News. “They have spent a lot of time together, but I wouldn’t say it’s an exclusive relationship yet.”
Ehrich has also starred in the Netflix film “Walk. Ride. Rodeo” as a character named Tate. His other acting credits include roles in “American Princess” and “Ugly Betty.”
