‘Designated Survivor’ Season 1 Spoilers: Episode 8 Synopsis Released Online; What Will Happen In ‘The Results’? [VIDEO]
ABC TV series “Designated Survivor” roped in one more person in the conspiracy that led to the Capitol bombing. FBI Deputy Director Jason Atwood’s son was kidnapped by the mysterious Catalan. He needs to whatever Catalan says otherwise his son Luke will die.
What will happen next week in the political thriller?
According to the official synopsis of Season 1, episode 8, President Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) will look forward to the election for a new House of Representatives. However, an unexpected development will force the former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to consider cancelling the elections entirely. What development will force the President to take such a drastic decision?
The promo of “The Results” reveals that Tom’s son Leo (Tanner Buchanan) will learn that he isn’t his father. The press will finally leak news of Leo’s dubious parentage. The video also shows Alex (Natascha McElhone) hugging her husband and Leo asking Tom if he is his father. This controversy/scandal has the power to undermine Tom’s presidency.
Meanwhile, Atwood (Malik Yoba) will request the woman who kidnapped his son to speak to him. She is working for Catalan. Unfortunately, his request will be denied. Will the woman order him to tell Kirkman that Congressman Peter MacLeish (Ashley Zukerman) is fit to be the Vice President? Will Atwood do as he is told?
Unfortunately, Leo’s parentage won’t be the only news that reporters leak in the upcoming episode of “Designated Survivor.” The press will learn about Al-Sakar leader Majid Nassar’s (Nicholas Massouh) death while he was under FBI’s custody. The President will have to handle the fallout.
Of course, wherever there is trouble brewing in the Oval Office, Congresswoman Kimble Hookstraten (Virginia Madsen) rears her ugly head. She pays the President a visit in episode 8.
