'Destiny 2' Gun Review: Is Eyasluna Any Good?
KEY POINTS
- The Eyasluna is a Stasis hand cannon with above-average base stats
- The weapon can comfortably compete against other meta options in medium ranges
- Eyasluna is one of the few 140 RPM hand cannons that can roll with Kill Clip
As one of the go-to hand cannons in the first game, Eyasluna was widely used by a lot of players for its consistency and ease of use compared to other meta options. Now that it’s back in “Destiny 2,” this gun may find itself in a tight spot as it competes with the rest of the meta options in the current PvP and PvE sandbox.
Thanks to an amazing perk pool and awesome base stats, players now find Eyasluna to be more than just another 140 RPM hand cannon. Much like the Palindrome or the Fatebringer, this gun can be an absolute menace in any game mode provided that the wielder is skilled enough to bring out its true potential.
The Eyasluna is amazing, and here’s why every player should have at least one good copy of it.
Eyasluna Base Stats And Perks
On paper, this gun boasts above-average stats with 54 Handling, 56 Range and a generous 68 Stability. Without any perks equipped, this weapon outranges both Palindrome and Fatebringer by a very small margin, and its recoil is slightly more manageable due to its high Stability.
However, Eyasluna’s lack of access to barrel perks means that the other hand cannons will end up with better Range stats overall. Even with all possible range-extending perks, Eyasluna can only hit up to 35.5 meters, which is roughly two meters less than the best Fatebringers and Palindromes.
On the other hand, Eyasluna can roll with Kill Clip, Demolitionist and Headstone, all of which can make the weapon great for ability-focused builds or for snagging long killstreaks in 6-player PvP matches.
This weapon shines most in the aim assist category. With a Helmet Targetting mod or the Moving Target perk, Eyasluna can reach 95 aim assist, which will make the gun feel like it’s shooting brick-sized bullets for very little investment. Players will be able to feel this accuracy bump regardless of their input method.
Best Eyasluna Perk Rolls
Players should try to get as much Range on Eyasluna as possible. Go for Hitmark or Sureshot sights together with either High-Caliber Rounds or Ricochet Rounds to get an effective range of 31 meters. This can be extended to 35-36 meters with Rangefinder.
Kill Clip is excellent for going on long streaks, and it can make the weapon even more forgiving, allowing for quick Guardian kills with two hits to the head and one to the body. Alternatively, Rapid Hit, Snapshot Sights and Moving Target will serve players well in duels.
Eyasluna works well and feels even better thanks to its potential stat and perk combinations. The weapon can be farmed in the Grasp of Avarice dungeon for players who own the 30th Anniversary Pack.
