Did Jennifer Aniston And Justin Theroux Get Married? Cake Photos Lead To Wedding Rumors
It’s been the summer of breakups for some of Hollywood’s beloved couples, but not Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux. Rumor has it that the pair got married Wednesday night.
Speculation about a wedding sparked after TMZ obtained photos of a lavish party at Aniston and Theroux’s Bel Air home. Sources claimed that the shindig was simply a surprise birthday for Theroux, who turns 44 years old on August 10. However, the images make the star studded affair look more like a wedding than a birthday bash.
The alleged big giveaway that the event was more than a surprise party? Cake! While a sweet treat is customary at any birthday, TMZ photographers snapped a picture of a cake with what appears to be a male and female Muppet character on top. The male Muppet looks like he’s dressed in a white suit and has dark hair, like Theroux. The female Muppet, although hidden by the person carrying the cake, looks like she could possibly have a white veil on her head.

Although the cake doesn’t confirm that the two are husband and wife, a “surprise” party turned wedding would not be a shocker. As People magazine notes, Aniston, 46, has previously joked about having a surprise ceremony. During a sit down with Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show in November, Aniston revealed that some of her celebrity pals show up to her parties in “wedding wear.”
“They would show up in beautiful wedding wear,” Aniston dished of Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher. “Even the 4th of July last year, they showed up and Sacha was in a powder blue suit and Isla was in a little cute dress. And we were like, ‘Guys, it’s the 4th of July. We’re in cutoffs and eating hot dogs. We will actually let you know!”
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux got engaged on Theroux’s birthday on Aug. 10, 2012. The two met on the set of the comedy “Tropic Thunder” in 2007, but sparks didn’t fly until the two worked together on the film “Wanderlust” in 2010. The couple has yet to comment on the latest speculation about their nuptials. People magazine reports that a rep did not immediately comment on the wedding rumors. However, Us Weekly reports that sources confirmed the nuptials. Guests in attendence included Ellen DeGeneres, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Chelsea handler and Howard Stern.
