Judging from her new ink, it seems Selena Gomez’s latest split from Justin Bieber may be permanent. Singer/actress Gomez, 21, has been on and off with the Canadian pop star since 2010, and they were most recently seen hanging out together last month, which caused fans to speculate they were back together. But since last month, Bieber has been seen on outings with model Yovanna Ventura, and according to reports, the two are dating.

The chances of Gomez and Bieber getting back together seem pretty slim now, after Gomez got a tattoo on her upper back reminding her to “love herself first.” She got the Arabic tattoo done by celebrity tattoo artist Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy on Wednesday.

The famous young couple most recently split in January 2013, allegedly because Bieber cheated on the “Spring Breakers” star. Since then, Bieber has been seen with a bevy of beauties, such as Jordan Ozuna, a Hooters waitress in Las Vegas, and Chantel Jeffries, a model. Jeffries was with him when he got arrested in Miami earlier this year for drag racing and driving under the influence. And now, he is reportedly with Ventura.

Even still, it has been evident that Bieber missed Gomez. In March, popular social media site Instagram crashed for about an hour, causing extremely long upload and refresh times. Users complained and many suspected Justin Bieber was to blame. Why? The young pop star posted a photo of his ex-girlfriend to his nearly 15 million followers. The photo sparked rumors that the two were dating once again.

Showing Gomez at Vanity Fair’s Oscar party in a floor-length gown, Bieber captioned the photo, “Most elegant princess in the world.” More than 870,000 people liked the picture.
