Did Meghan Markle’s Boy Archie Steal George Clooney’s Thunder? ‘A Little Irritating’

George Clooney reacted to Meghan Markle delivering her baby boy on his birthday.

The Duchess of Sussex’ delivery was delayed, she was overdue. On Monday, Prince Harry announced that their baby has finally arrived and it’s a boy.

Markle’s baby shares the same birthday as the Hollywood actor. The “Ocean’s Eleven” star reacted and joked that it was a “little irritating” because baby Archie stole his thunder.

“Well, it was a little irritating because that kid really is stealing my thunder! Come on man, that was my day!” Clooney told Entertainment Tonight.

Clooney didn’t offer parenting advice to Prince Harry and Markle who are first-time mom and dad. However, he extended his well-wishes to the new parents.

“I am very happy. They’re a lovely couple so it’s exciting,” he added.

Markle is close with the Clooneys. Clooney and his wife, Amal, were among Prince Harry and Markle’s wedding guests when they tied the knot a year ago.

Also, a previous report claimed that Amal helped Markle settle into London life. Amal was reportedly more than a wedding guest because she and Markle share a “natural friendship.” Meghan and Amal have known each other for a while and share a lot of interest.

When Markle celebrated her lavish baby shower in New York which netizens criticized for being too “celebrity” more than “royalty,” Amal was among her guests. There is no doubt that Amal and Clooney are fond of Markle.

One time Clooney compared Markle to the late Princess of Wales, Princess Diana. The “Catch-22” actor felt that Prince Harry’s wife was pursued and vilified by the media in the same way as they did to Princess Diana. However, a number of netizens disagreed.

A number of online users told Clooney that he was “clueless.” Another said that Markle was “nothing compared to Diana.” A different user urged Clooney to just shut up because he knows nothing.

Piers Morgan also disagreed. According to him, Markle wasn’t naive like Princess Diana. In addition, there is absolutely no comparison because the amount of media attention they received is not the same. Princess Diana is the biggest star on the planet while Markle isn’t one of the top three biggest stars in the palace.
