Did Phaedra Parks Shade ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’? Star Teases Porsha Williams Friendship
Although Phaedra Parks is happily returning to television thanks to her new gig on “Braxton Family Values” Season 6, the former Bravo star appeared to shade her old reality show, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
Phaedra was fired from the series following the Season 9 reunion when she confessed to spreading a rumor about co-star Kandi Burruss. At the time, the attorney, who was close friends with Porsha Williams, told her pal Kandi planned to secretly drug and take advantage of her sexually.
With “RHOA” reportedly already in production on Season 11, Phaedra revealed she has “no regrets” about how her run on the popular reality show ended. “I mean, whatever I've said, I’ve already said it,” she told Entertainment Tonight.
“So, this is -- that was now, two years ago? So, yes, I’m living in 2018,” the 44-year-old added.
Even though Phaedra is looking forward to appearing on the small screen again, she revealed her past on the series has made her a target for criticism. The star then addressed the backlash she received from Traci’s sister, Tamar, who called Phaedra a “wannabe” Braxton.
“I’ve been in the dark side of reality TV, so I understand her position. I understand how it feels to be in this position, so I just wanted to support her, I want to see her win,” she said of the now deleted Instagram video.
Although she can’t seem to shake her controversial “RHOA” history, Phaedra revealed she is still in contact with former co-stars NeNe Leakes and Porsha.
A comment made by Traci during the interview seemed to suggest Porsha and Phaedra were able to fix their strained relationship following their Season 9 fallout. “I don’t want Porsha to be all upset and everything ‘cause I’m all jumpin’ up with her little friend, lady,” Traci shared.
“I’mma give her back! I’mma give her back, Porsha!” the reality star added.
While Phaedra isn’t completely against the idea of returning to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” someday, fans eager to see the lawyer back on the small screen will have to watch her on “Braxton Family Values” Season 6, airing Thursdays at 9 p.m. EDT on WEtv.
