Did Remy Ma Shade Nicki Minaj Before Queen Barbz’s Billboard Music Awards Performance?
Remy Ma threw some major shade at Nicki Minaj the day before Queen Barbz kicked off the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. The “shETHER” rapper took to social media to diss Minaj and her crew.
On Saturday, Remy Ma updated her Instagram account by uploading some photos that show off her different fashion styles. It seems that Papoose’s wife wanted to give a shoutout to the people who did her styling in the pictures. However, she included some digs at Minaj. “As an artist I have ideas & visions but it’s no greater feeling than when u have talented people around that help bring your thoughts to life; you guys help me be the best me,” Remy Ma wrote.
The 36-year-old member of Fat Joe’s rap crew then tagged all of the people responsible for her fashionable looks in the photos. At the end of her post, she may have grabbed the chance to once again diss Minaj by using the hashtags “#RememberItsNeverAllAboutYou” and “Teamwork.” It wasn’t really clear if she was targeting Minaj in her post, but some fans of the Young Money artist took offence to what the “All The Way Up” artist did.
Some Barbz called out Remy Ma for being hypocritical for going after Minaj and pointing out the latter’s plastic surgeries. One wrote: “Are you dumb? You call Nicki out for plastic surgery and here you are editing pics but still look like nah.” Another slammed Remy Ma for previously making fun of Minaj because the Trinidadian rapper relies on her stylist for her looks. “But… you try calling our Nic for having a stylist… what’s the truth, Rem? You a fan,” the fan wrote.

Remy Ma’s post comes just a day before Minaj conquered the Billboard Music Awards stage by performing some of her hits that were clearly written in response to the former’s diss tracks. During her opening act, Minaj performed “No Frauds,” “Light My Body Up” and “Swalla” — all of which contain verses that criticize Remy Ma. Minaj also sang “Regret In Your Tears,” which is her song for ex Meek Mill.
On Instagram, Minaj echoed her attacks for Remy Ma by posting some snaps with Drake, Lil Wayne and Mack Maine from the BBMAs. In one photo she shared, Minaj used the line “Me & Drizzy laughed at that” from “No Frauds” as caption. The line, of course, is an obvious dig at Remy Ma’s attempt at making a back-to-back release of diss tracks — “shETHER” and “Another One” — against Safaree Samuels’ ex-girlfriend.
Meanwhile, Remy Ma just recently made a guest appearance on “The Real,” a panel show that’s co-hosted by Adrienne Bailon, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry. Following her co-hosting gig, she took to social media to thank the show and the hosts, whom she labeled as her “girlfriends.” “They all treated me, as well as my entire team, with the utmost respect and made sure we were super comfortable at all times,” she wrote. “They even gave me & my husband one of the best anniversary presents everrrrr!”
