“Sons of Anarchy” actor Dimitri Diatchenko has been arrested and charged with a crime so gruesome you’d think it would have been a plot taken straight from the FX series. According to TV Guide, the 46-year-old performer, who portrayed the small role of “Head Russian” in Season 4 of Kurt Sutter’s motorcycle drama, has been booked for allegedly killing and eating his ex-girlfriend’s pet rabbit.

The plot thickened when E! News reported not only had Diatchenko snacked on his former partner’s pet, but that he allegedly threatened to eat his ex-girlfriend as well.

A press release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office elaborated, explaining that the actor allegedly waited for his ex-girlfriend to leave their North Hollywood home before he “skinned the pet, cooked it, and ate half of it while sending her step-by-step pictures of what he did.” The report added that Diatchenko had allegedly told the defendant that when she returned to the house, he would do the same to her.

ET Online noted that Diatchenko dinned on his ex-girlfriend’s pet after she told him that the two should no longer be living in the same house. According to Deputy District Attorney Lou Holtz, the duo had been living together for quite some time after they had broken up.

If Diatchenko is convicted of the charges (one felony count of animal cruelty with the use of a knife and one felony count of criminal threats) the actor could face a maximum sentence of four years and eight months in prison.

What’s even more interesting about this case is that Diatchenko plays a professional villain on both the small and the big screen as well as some video games. He’s appeared in “How I Met Your Mother,” “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” “Call of Duty: Blacks Ops.” Most recently the actor appeared as a guest star on the hit CBS sitcom “2 Broke Girls."
