Dina Lohan Black Eye Pictures Surface After Shocking Michael Lohan Domestic Abuse Allegations

Hot on the heels of Dina Lohan’s recent allegation that her daughter Lindsay witnessed ex-husband Michael Lohan beat her as a child, Entertainment Tonight has published exclusive photos of Dina in the 80s with a black eye, which she claims was from her ex.

Dina Lohan made the claims on Sunday, during an interview with the New York Daily News. The newspaper said that the meeting was held at a hotel in Long Island and that Lohan brought along police reports and medical records to substantiate her claim. For the record, her ex-husband, Michael Lohan, has shared a very different account of the incident.

Dina Lohan in the tabloid interview claimed that her former husband raped and “beat the hell” out of her during their 22-year marriage and that witnessing the domestic abuse as a small child left a lasting mark on Lindsay.

If the claims are true, it might explain some of Lindsay Lohan's statements in a recent New York Times profile, published earlier this week. The article followed the making of the Paul Schrader-helmed film "The Canyons," which stars Lindsay Lohan, and delves into the attendant drama that followed enlisting the troubled actress. After one particularly heated scene, in which Lohan's onscreen beau, James Deen, was required to throw her roughly to the ground, a crew member complimented her work. She purportedly replied, "Well, I've got a lot of experience with that from my dad."

Dina Lohan told the New York Daily News, “Lindsay saw her dad abuse me — that’s why she’s so screwed up. Michael beat the hell out of me.”

According to Dina Lohan, the photographs were taken in 1986 after a night out when Lindsay was left at home. She said that she and Michael went out to dinner at a restaurant in Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y., where he gradually got drunk and high on cocaine. As Michael’s drug and alcohol consumption increased, so did his erratic behavior, said Dina Lohan.

“When we left he was drunk-driving and suddenly he started screaming, ‘Get the f--- out of the car!’” she recounted. That’s when she says her ex-husband reached over and punched her below her right eye with his clenched fist.

Dina Lohan claimed that immediately after the incident, she called her parents, who took her to a hospital in Long Island. According to hospital records, she was admitted on Dec. 4, 1986 and treated for “blunt trauma” to her face, the tabloid article said.

When asked about the altercation, Michael Lohan shared a very different story. “I came in at 2 o’clock in the morning after being out with some friends. I walked in and she hit me with an ice tray. With the back of my hand I slapped her in the face. Yes, it did happen in 1986. Were there any charges? No, not at all. I had a big black and blue on my neck from her,” the former Wall Street stock broker told the New York Daily News.

Dina Lohan said in the article that while the outburst was the first time her ex-husband was violent with her, it was not the last. She said that the series of the assaults continued until Michael Lohan was jailed for three months on charges of securities fraud.

“When Lindsay saw the photo, she was furious,” said Dina Lohan. “She said, ‘Tell the world! Talk about it!’ ”

“She saw a lot of crazy stuff,” her mother said. “I want the world to know the root of her problems.”
