Donald Trump Says Media Doesn’t Acknowledge Him Being Good Dad To Barron; Twitter Reacts

Donald Trump complained that the media never reports him being a good dad to son Barron.

President Trump is not a hands-on father. He admitted this in his past interviews and his ex-wife Ivana Trump and Marla Maples raised their children with him on their own. The same is true with Melania Trump when it comes to her son with Trump, Barron.

However, Trump reportedly wondered why the media do not acknowledged his being a good dad to Barron. The POTUS’ statement prompted Twitter users to react.

“Bizarre argument from Mulvaney at CPAC, saying the media doesn't cover what a good dad Donald Trump is to Barron. The White House specifically asks us not to cover Barron, who is 13,” The New York Times White House correspondent Annie Karni wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, several mocked Trump for saying that Barron is his son when he failed to acknowledged him in his previous statement. Trump referred to Barron in one of his statements as “Melania’s son” which didn’t sit well to many who heard it.

“He’s Melania’s son according to DT,” one commented.

“Exactly. And I have yet to see Trump appear to parent Barron in any way. They barely acknowledge one another when seen together in public (which isn’t all too often) & it’s usually just getting on/off a plane. Why would media call him a good dad when it appears he isn’t?” another added.

Another online user said that there was a time when Barron seemed embarrassed with Trump when he was goofing off during the national anthem. The user was referring to the Super Bowl party when the POTUS was caught on camera swinging his hand on the air while wife Melania and son Barron stand beside him with their hands over their chest while the national anthem plays.

Ivana once said that Trump was a loving father and a good provider. However, he was not involved in their children’s lives. She raised Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric on her own. Reports also claimed that Maples raised Tiffany as a single mom.
