Drake-Meek Mill Feud Update: Nicki Minaj’s Boyfriend Teases New Diss Track For ‘What A Time To Be Alive’ Rapper
Meek Mill fired back at Drake teasing a new diss track on his Instagram account Wednesday, just days after the Canadian rapper released his mixtape with Future, titled “What a Time to Be Alive.” The feud between Mill and Drake intensified after some songs in Drake’s new album allegedly took aim at the Philadelphia rapper and his girlfriend Nicki Minaj.
Mill took to Instagram to preview few tracks from his upcoming mixtape, one of which allegedly alludes to his feud with Drake, according to Hollywood Life. In the preview tracks Mill speaks about making money while admitting that he took “a loss” earlier this year, leading some fans to speculate that he was addressing his loss to Drake in their diss tracks war.
“Couple them bodies get dropped and you n-----’ll tell / And I made an M in a week but they tellin’ me I took a L,” Mill raps, before saying, “Money, power, respect, eating breakfast on a jet.”
Drake has made no comments on Mill’s new rap, but, according to reports, the latter reignited his feud with Drake after the “Back to Back” rapper reportedly threw shade at Minaj in his new track, “Diamonds Dancing.”
“You doing me dirty / How we let it get like this I don’t know / But that n---- can’t save your soul, nah / Doing me dirty, you doing me dirty / Haven’t even heard from you / How can you live with yourself,” Drake raps in the song.
However, Drake cleared the air about the feud with Minaj, according to Urban Islandz, which claimed the he said that his song “Diamonds Dancing” is not about the “Anaconda” singer or any beef with her.
“Drake has a lot of respect for Nicki and would never attack her in a song because he has her number and would more give her a call than air something out on a record,” a source told Urban Islandz. “That verse was recorded before the Meek Mill beef. There is no issue between Nicki and Drizzy and that whole thing with Meek is long over.”
Meanwhile, Drake slammed Mill saying that he thinks the latter looks “awful” and “bleak” in his photo shoot with Minaj for GQ magazine.
In his GQ interview, Mill did not apologize for starting the feud with Drake and instead said that “of course you know Meek Mill never regrets anything.”
Mill and Drake’s battle erupted on July 21 after the "All Eyes on You" rapper took to Twitter and told people not to compare him with Drake because he doesn't write his own rap songs. Drake responded by releasing two diss songs, “Charged Up” and “Back to Back,” while Mill fired back with "Wanna Know."
