Drew Barrymore admitted that she had an "open relationship" with Luke Wilson back in the '90s.

The 46-year-old actress reminisced about her past relationships, including her casual romance with Wilson, during the Thursday episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show," which featured her longtime friend Kate Hudson, 42, as a guest.

"When we first met, we were young and wild," Barrymore said of Wilson. "I was dating him, but I think he was also dating other people. It was an open relationship. We were young."

The two actresses said they actually met each other through Wilson, 50. At the time Barrymore was dating him, Hudson was making the 2003 movie "Alex and Emma" with him.

Hudson recalled meeting Barrymore at a restaurant called Chez Jay's in Santa Monica, California, while they were all there with Wilson.

The "Never Been Kissed" star told Hudson it was "so fun" to date casually in those days because "when you're young, it's low stakes."

"We’re just young, we’re having fun, we’re all playing, acting, hanging out. You’re not taking it all so seriously, and it was fun and we had the best time," Barrymore continued.

"I’ve been there with a Wilson too!" the "Almost Famous" star chimed in while laughing.

Barrymore was first linked to the "Old School" actor after they worked on the 1997 film "Best Men." They reunited on screen a year later in 1998's "Home Fries." However, their off-screen romance didn't last long.

On the other hand, Hudson and Luke's older brother, Owen Wilson, had an on-again, off-again relationship after they worked together on 2006's "You, Me And Dupree." They broke up in 2007 but briefly rekindled their romance in 2008 before they called it quits for good, according to Us Weekly.

Barrymore and Hudson went on to date other high-profile men following their respective breakups from the Wilson brothers. The "Wedding Singer" star was married to Tom Green from 2001 to 2002. She tied the knot with Will Kopelman in 2012, but they split four years later.

Barrymore and Kopelman share daughters Olive, 9, and Frankie, 7. The pair remain amicable and even spent a "very positive" Halloween weekend together. The actress and their kids went trick-or-treating with Kopelman and his new wife, Allie.

"It is the dream. I loved seeing this, I really do. It’s very positive," Barrymore said of her relationship with her ex-husband. "Because you are never not together if you have children. All the modern family and exes aside, you are just parents. That’s what makes sense to me."

Earlier this month, Barrymore told Bobby Berk on her CBS show that she would "never" get married again. The "Charlie's Angels" star said that she doesn't know how to date with kids.

Hudson, meanwhile, is engaged to longtime boyfriend Danny Fujikawa, whom she has dated for five years. They welcomed daughter Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa in 2018.

From 2000 until 2007, Hudson was married to Chris Robinson. They share 18-year-old son Ryder Robinson. Hudson is also mom to 10-year-old son Bingham Hawn Bellamy with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy, whom she split from in 2014.
