Drew Barrymore Reveals She Is Dating Again After 'So Many Years'
Drew Barrymore has once again entered the dating scene. The 46-year-old actress, who split from Will Kopelman in 2016, discussed her dating life with guest Whoopi Goldberg on her talk show, "The Drew Barrymore Show," on Thursday.
"The last time you were here, we both were single. You weren't dating. Are you dating now?" Barrymore asked and Goldberg replied, "No." The actress quickly added, "I am."
Goldberg responded with excitement and the audience gave a round of applause to the mother of two. Barrymore explained, "Because it had been so many years, I started to get a little worried like I'm too good at being alone."
The "Charlie's Angels" asked the 67-year-old actress if she'd like to return to the dating scene, and Goldberg said, "For good, no. Maybe a hit-and-run is a better way to go, for now, until you say to yourself, 'Now I really want someone to just be part of this.'"
She added, "Right now, that may not be what you're looking for, which is probably why you're doing fine."
This is not the first time Barrymore has opened up about her dating life. Earlier this year, the talk show host, who shares two daughters - Olive, 9, and Frankie, 7 - with Kopelman, said she was not comfortable bringing people home as she has two young girls.
"I'm not there yet," Barrymore said in January on "CBS Mornings," People reported. "I have two young girls and, like, I don't want to bring people home... I think it would take me a very long time to meet someone and get to know them before I could even ever introduce them to my daughters."
On the work front, Barrymore has been hosting her own talk show since 2020. She was last seen in a Christmas-themed movie, "A Castle for Christmas." The comedy-drama helmed by Mary Lambert was released last year.
The actress will be next seen in a comedy movie, titled "Jackpot," which is helmed by Josh Ricks and penned by Cristina Kinon. The project is currently under post-production.
