Duggar Family Stays Silent About Jana Duggar Courtship Rumors

It’s not uncommon for the Duggar Family and its friends, which run the unofficial Duggar blog, to address reports about any courtship coupling not being true either on social media or on the TLC series “Counting On,” but neither party has spoken out about the latest courtship rumors surrounding Jim Bob and MIchelle Duggar’s eldest daughter, Jana Duggar.

At 27 years old and with her being the last of her adult sisters still single, it wouldn’t exactly be a shock if Jana entered into an official courtship, though the latest reports from OK! Magazine remain unconfirmed by the family. The magazine recently teased that Jana has been linked to Caleb Williams, a close family friend who describes himself as a designer, photographer, world traveler and business owner.

“He’s been close friends with the family for many years,” a source “close to Caleb” has said. While he may be close to the religious Arkansas brood, the insider said Caleb is not used to following the family’s infamously strict courtship rules, which include, but are not limited to, saving your first kiss for marriage, holding hands only when engaged and always having dates chaperoned.

If that wasn’t enough of a conflict, the source added that Caleb, though a Christian, attends a different denominational church than the Duggars. “They have similar beliefs,” the source said of Caleb’s religion, “but he’s a bit different in this thinking. He’s maybe somewhat more liberal.”

Coincidentally enough, Jana was previously linked to Caleb’s brother Jacob, who denied he was dating the “Counting On” star on Facebook late last month. “I just wanna say that this is total bunk,” he wrote on his account. “WE ARE NOT IN A RELATIONSHIP.” Jacob added that he and Jana had been friends for 21 years prior to the dating rumors.

While it is still unclear if there’s a future for Jana and Caleb, he hasn’t exactly made his connection to the Duggar family a secret. He posted a photo of Jana’s eldest brother Josh Duggar’s newborn son, Mason, in late September. “First time holding sweet baby Mason!” Caleb captioned the shot of him holding the newborn. “Thank for letting me hold him,” he added, tagging parents Josh and Anna Duggar.

Earlier the same month, Caleb shared a snap of him with five of the Duggar boys. “Loved hanging out with these guys,” reads the caption.

The Duggar family has also subtly introduced Caleb to their followers. On Sept. 23, the Duggar Family’s official Facebook page shared a photo of Caleb and the family enjoying a meal together. And yes, Jana was present, though she was seated at the opposite end of the table.

It looks like fans will have to wait and see if Jana is the next Duggar to announce a courtship. In the meantime, Jana’s supporters can take solace in knowing she’s not spending her days waiting for a relationship.

“I know how it feels to wait for ‘Prince Charming’ to come along. I’m still waiting. Waiting is not always easy. Especially in those times when all the married siblings are getting together and you can’t go along because your not part of that group,” she told Crown of Beauty Magazine earlier this year.

“But waiting doesn’t mean sitting and literally waiting. I’ve found that when I’m having a hard or discouraging day, I try to look for ways to bless or serve someone else. And in turn it usually blesses and encourages me.”
