‘DWTS' Pro Peta Murgatroyd Talks Post-Baby Body, Shares Photo Days After Giving Birth

“Dancing With the Stars” pro Peta Murgatroyd has opened up about her post-baby body, eight days after giving birth to Shai.

On her Instagram account, the professional dancer shared a full body selfie taken in front of the mirror. Murgatroyd revealed that she took the photo just five days after Shai was born and said that she left the hospital looking like she was still five months pregnant. The dancer added that it is a common misconception among new moms that they would shrink back to their pre-birth weight immediately. She concluded the post by saying that Shai is worth every single pound that she gained.

A day before posting her selfie, Murgatroyd and fellow “Dancing With the Stars” pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy went out on a sushi date, according to E! News. During their date, the latter shared a photo of the two of them standing outside the restaurant. Chmerkovskiy captioned the snap by calling Murgatroyd his queen.

The proud dad has also been very vocal about becoming a first-time father. After Shai was born, he penned a lengthy post on Instagram, saying that he is the happiest person that has ever lived since becoming a dad. In the photo, his back is turned towards the camera while holding Shai in his arms. As of late, Shai’s face has not yet been revealed in any photo or video.

Meanwhile, Shai’s nursery had been completed even before he was born. While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Murgatroyd revealed that it was designed by nursery designer Vanessa Antonelli. Chmerkovskiy influenced the design of the nursery, which has a lot of elephant ornaments in it. Chmerkovskiy himself is a collector of elephant decors.
