Dylan O’Brien Injured: Holland Roden, Wes Ball And More ‘Teen Wolf,’ ‘Maze Runner’ Co-Stars Reach Out After Hospitalization
Dylan O’Brien has to be feeling the love right now. After being injured on the set of the third “Maze Runner” film, plenty of the actor’s friends and co-stars reached out to him on social media.
The 24-year-old actor was injured Friday on the set of “Maze Runner: The Death Cure” and was hospitalized. There are many conflicting reports about the circumstances surrounding his injury and the severity of it. TMZ initially claimed that he was hit by a car and had multiple broken bones, but Deadline reported that he fell and hurt his face. 20th Century Fox hasn’t offered any details on the injury. They only said the actor was rushed to the hospital immediately, and production is shut down until he recovers.
Several of O’Brien’s friends and co-stars from the “Maze Runner” franchise not only offered O’Brien support but assured fans that he’d be okay. Director Wes Ball wrote a letter that he posted online. “ I’m sorry for the grief this accident has caused his friends and family as well as my wonderful cast and crew,” Ball wrote. “It’s scary seeing your friend get hurt, but fortunately, Dylan is going to be just fine. After a few weeks of rest and recovery he’ll be back up and running to finish our adventure together.” See Ball’s full letter below as well as his ‘Maze Runner’ co-stars’ well wishes.
Of course, “Maze Runner” stars weren’t the only ones who sent positive thoughts to O’Brien. Plenty of his “Teen Wolf” co-stars, including onscreen love interest Holland Roden, were also quick to jump on social media.
Even “The Flash” star Grant Gustin,” who has never worked with O’Brien, chimed in to wish him a speedy recovery.
O’Brien is expected to make a full recovery and eventually get back to filming “Maze Runner: The Death Cure.” He also stars in MTV’s “Teen Wolf” Season 6, but TVLine reports that his absence won’t affect the filming schedule. They were likely already planning his absence due to his “Maze Runner” shoot.
