'Elden Ring' Might Arrive Earlier Than Expected; Retailer List Game's Release Date
“Elden Ring” was officially announced during Microsoft’s press conference at E3 2019. The game announcement was made by the launch of a spooky trailer, which gives us an idea of what the collaboration of FromSoftware and George R.R. Martin would look like. With very little details about the upcoming game, a retailer recently post the game’s release date, and it appears that fans will only have to wait for a few months for the game’s official release.
At present, we know that Hidetaka Miyazaki and his team at From Software are currently working on “Elden Ring.” The open-world action RPG is set to follow the lead of “Demon Souls,” “Dark Souls,” “Bloodborne,” and “Sekiro.” The official website of one of the biggest retailers in Scandinavia, named Komplett, already posted that the game is open for pre-order.
The “Elden Ring” pre-order page also states that it will be available in June 2020. While the post raised many eyebrows because of its mid-year release, others believe that the date is just a place holder. But, looking at the release pattern of From Software, the June 2020 release date seems possible considering that the gaming studio releases its game every March of each year.
It is worth noting that Target has also earlier listed “Elden Ring” with a June 30, 2020 release date with the game launching on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Considering the next generation gaming consoles are releasing in the last quarter of 2020, it is possible that the game could be released just a few months ahead. But, Mar 2020 is just a few months away, and so far, we have not heard anything about “Elden Ring” aside from its official trailer.
The game was not present during the Tokyo Game Show as well as during Gamescom 2019. But, we never really know, From Software might surprise us and might release “Elden Ring” ahead of time. Like all other pre-order listings, Komplett’s does not tell us anything official about the much-awaited game.
We suggest taking this information with a pinch of salt and with great skepticism. Meanwhile, you can check out the launch trailer of the “Elden Ring” below.
