'Ellen' Star Sophia Grace Brownlee Is Pregnant; Here's How Rosie McClelland Reacted
TV personality and influencer Sophia Grace Brownlee is expecting her first child. Her cousin, Rosie McClelland, with whom she shared the stage on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" before becoming a social media influencer, has revealed she was initially "shocked" to learn about her cousin and fellow breakout star's pregnancy, according to E! News.
Despite this, the 16-year-old former child actress and television personality welcomed the good news and congratulated Brownlee on the upcoming baby.
"I literally froze and then burst into tears and then Sophia showed me her scan picture," McClelland told the outlet. "I'm so happy for Sophia. She has always been amazing with children and she's gonna be an amazing mum. She also has a very supportive family around her to help and I'm gonna be there every step of the way! I can't wait to buy the baby loads of cute clothes."
"I don't think I will be any good with the late feeds though or the nappies. I'm so proud of Sophia and so excited for this new chapter for her and all of us," she added.
Brownlee shared the happy news to her 3.4 million subscribers on YouTube Saturday and revealed that she was 21 weeks along.
"I'm sure a lot of you are going to be very shocked because it probably was quite unexpected," she began. "I was very shocked when I first found out. I got used to it now and I'm super, super happy about it and I can't wait to share this journey with you guys and definitely have a lot of different content from what I usually have."
"It's like, mad to think that there's literally another like, life inside of you," she continued.
The 19-year-old influencer did not reveal who the father of her baby is, and she asked viewers to be kind and to "comment nice things only" as she continues to share her pregnancy journey.
"I don't want any negative comments. Negative comments will be getting deleted and blocked," she said in the nearly 8-minute video, adding that she already knows the sex of her baby and that she will soon be making a gender reveal video.
"You can expect to see that soon on my channel, so make sure you watch out for that. It's mad to think that there's literally another life inside of you," she added.
Brownlee and McClelland won the hearts of viewers when they performed a cover of Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in 2011 wearing adorable pink tutus and tiaras. The pair became regular guests on the show and returned to "Ellen" in May for the show's final season.
