Elton John knows a fraud when he sees one.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the legendary rocker said he's annoyed by all the positive reviews he's seen about Janet Jackson's concerts. Countering those who've praised her current tour as "'the greatest show'," John said it's all a lie, because Jackson is lip-syncing. He told the publication there are plenty of other performers — including drag queens — whom he'd rather pay to see.

"You know, f---ing music magazines writing a review of Janet Jackson saying, 'This is the greatest show — four and a half stars,'" said the 68-year-old. "It's f---ing lip-synced! Hello! That's not a show! I'd rather go and see a drag queen. F--- off."

Jackson is currently on the road for her Unbreakable World Tour. In January it was rumored that the "Rhythm Nation" singer, who had been forced to postpone several dates on the tour, had been tested for throat cancer. She spoke out about those rumors on Twitter, as E! Online reported, thanking her fans for the "prayers and love." She assured fans that doctors had cleared her to perform in Europe, adding that she was hard at work on rescheduling any and all postponed tour dates.

This is hardly the first time Jackson has been accused of lip-syncing. MLive.com reviewed one of her 2015 performances, noting that it did not appear she was actually singing. Prior to that, VH1 reported that Jackson, who performed at the Super Bowl in 2004, decided to lip-sync rather than sing live. Both publications accepted her lip-syncing as par for the course, given her intense dance routine. There are also videos on YouTube of Jackson allegedly lip-syncing during different performances.

When Jackson was questioned about lip-sync accusations in a 2011 interivew with the Star Tribune, the singer told the outlet that she sings live.

Jackson has not yet responded to John's lip-syncing accusations.
