Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund are prioritizing their son Rhodes amid their split, a report says.

News broke last month that Roberts, 31, and Hedlund, 37, parted ways after nearly three years of dating. But though they were unable to make their romantic relationship work, the exes are maintaining an amicable relationship as co-parents to their 1-year-old son.

"Garrett and Emma have a great co-parenting relationship. When he's sober, he's a great guy, and they've been handling co-parenting very well," an unnamed source told Us Weekly.

The "Tron: Legacy" actor "has been battling addiction [issues] for years," the tipster added.

Roberts allegedly gave him "multiple ultimatums" before deciding to end their relationship earlier this year, according to the insider.

"They have a very amicable relationship with each other and are being very adult about their breakup," the source added.

Roberts and Hedlund called it quits following a rocky few months in their relationship, People reported in January.

"It's sad, and they are trying their best to co-parent. It's been hard," an anonymous insider told the outlet at the time.

The breakup news came less than a month after the two stars celebrated their son Rhodes' first birthday with a rodeo-themed party.

The "Nerve" star shared a series of posts from the event on Instagram, with the caption: "Happy birthday rodeo! Frosting in my hair and @thebeatbuds stuck in my head. Loved every second of it. I love you, Rhodes."

Hedlund and Roberts started dating in March 2019, and they welcomed their son in December 2020.

After welcoming Rhodes, Hedlund reportedly "totally stepped up" to support the new mom.

"Having a newborn in the pandemic has been a lot harder than either of them expected, but they're really, really trying their best to figure things out," an unnamed source told People at the time. "Garrett totally stepped it up after Emma was still recovering after giving birth. He made sure that their house was stocked with things that Emma liked and needed, so she felt comfortable. She's just starting to get back into a more 'normal' routine."

Following their split, Hedlund was arrested for public intoxication on Jan. 22 while in Franklin County, Tennessee. His bond for the misdemeanor arrest was set at $2,100, TMZ reported. The actor was released on bail just hours after his arrest.

Hedlund is also facing a personal injury lawsuit from a woman and her daughter over a head-on car crash two years ago.

The mother and daughter are seeking punitive damages after Hedlund allegedly chose to drive down a busy street on a busy Friday night after "drinking to the point of severe intoxication" and despite "knowing he was unfit to drive."

The family claimed in the lawsuit that their head-on collision in Los Angeles on Jan. 24, 2020, left them and two minor children with "severe and permanent injuries."
