Ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell Now Geri Horner; Takes Last Name Of Husband Christian Horner

Geri Halliwell, the former Spice Girl once known as Ginger Spice, is now calling herself Geri Horner following her May 15 marriage to Formula One auto racing boss Christian Horner. She changed her name on Twitter and Instagram during a romantic honeymoon in Monaco, according to Hello. Geri also referenced her name change on Instagram, writing: “new beginnings” on a picture showing the words “Mrs. Horner” embroidered in blue thread.

Ginger Spice has embraced the relationship in its full sense. The Watford-born singer posted a picture of herself dressed in a bikini and entering a swimming pool shortly after eating a pasta-based lunch. The 42-year-old captioned the picture: “Breath in Mrs H”. Halliwell has been updating her fans on her honeymoon via social media, posting pictures of the meals that she and her husband were having and views she has been experiencing in the south of France.

Even on their honeymoon, the couple have been keeping themselves engaged by playing chess. Geri shared a snap of them engrossed in a game before revealing that she had triumphed over Christian for the first time. The following day the newlyweds enjoyed a sailing trip, shooting video of themselves with the wind in their hair as they cruised along the water.

Geri is seen laughing and smiling as her husband Horner points out some of the sights from the back of a boat. She posted the short clip with the caption: “We are sailing...” and a great big smiley face emoji. The star is on the French Riviera after her wedding.

The former Spice Girl looked radiant and happy as she stepped out in Monaco in a crocheted blouse over a bright yellow shift dress. The newlywed star donned the ensemble for the Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo on Sunday. The pair didn't even wait 24 hours before jetting off to the south of France with a brief stop at the Cannes film festival.

Geri and Christian got married in a ceremony held at St. Mary's Church in Woburn, Bedfordshire. The bride arrived at the venue with her 9-year-old daughter Bluebell. The famous names who attended the couple’s wedding include Geri’s former bandmate Emma Bunton and her partner James. Besides, Myleene Klass, Amanda Holden, Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French were also present.
