Fall TV Premiere Dates 2016: Watch Season Premieres Of ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ ‘The Blacklist’ And More On Thursday, Sept. 22
Not only is there a lot of new TV seasons starting tonight, but they’re all mostly great shows. Good luck picking what to watch on Thursday.
“Grey’s Anatomy” Season 13 kicks off the night of premieres on ABC. The big cliffhanger involving Alex (Justin Chambers) and Jo (Camilla Luddington) might not be resolved in the premiere, though. Alex brutally beat up DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti), and now he could be in serious trouble with the law. After revealing that she had run away from an abusive husband, will Alex’s actions scare off Jo?
The Shonda Rhimes-produced dramas will continue at 10 p.m. EDT on Thursday with “How to Get Away with Murder.” The Keating Five enter their second year of law school, and Annalise (Viola Davis) deals with a publicity problem. The Season 3 premiere will also reveal who shot Mahoney (Adam Arkin) and where Frank (Charlie Weber) went.
Sandwiched between “Grey’s” and “HTGAWM” is not “Scandal.” The ABC show will be taking some time off due to star Kerry Washington’s pregnancy, and “Notorious” will take its place. Piper Perabo stars in the new drama, which follows the questionable relationship between the law and the media.
Crime seems to be the theme of Thursdays. Over on Fox, “Rosewood” Season 2 will premiere. A new police department captain will shake things up at the precinct, but the officers have a high profile case to worry about. The mayor’s protégé has been murdered.
“The Blacklist” also returns to NBC. The Season 4 premiere will show Liz (Megan Boone) being kidnapped. Her captor claims to be her father, but can she believe him? Red (James Spader) will obviously be frantically searching for her.
Elsewhere, “Chicago Med” Season 2 will kick off with Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) starting a new fellowship. However, he’ll have trouble with his new boss on the NBC drama. While Rhodes adjusts, April (Yaya DaCosta) will be dealing with her tuberculosis diagnosis.
If you’re in the mood for something funnier, “Superstore” Season 2 premieres on NBC. The workers will go on strike, and negotiating with corporate doesn’t help their cause.
