Farrah Abraham Stands By Her Decision To Let Teen Daughter Get A Piercing

Farrah Abraham is all about being cautious and legal while ensuring her daughter's happiness, and she doesn't care what anyone else has to say about her parenting decisions.

Recently, the “Teen Mom” alum received a lot of criticism for letting her 13-year-old daughter Sophia Abraham get her septum pierced, but Farrah stood by her decision in a recent interview with TMZ.

“Her generation of 13 is much different than my generation of 13. Sophia is the first in my family to get a septum piercing. Especially at 13. I would rather it be by a professional, sanitized and clean than my teen dummy sneaking off and doing it herself and getting an infection," Farrah said, adding that she was not really a fan of piercings, but if that's what will make her daughter happy, then so be it.

The 30-year-old reality TV star shared that everything she did for her daughter is legal. The mother also added that while she did draw the line at tattoos, she would support her daughter if Sophia opted to get more piercings, per ET Canada.

“I am blessed that even though I wasn’t for it, a professional pierced her nose. She did better than her COVID shot, I am shocked. To those who might feel it is inappropriate that my daughter got her nose professionally done, legally done. I’m all about being legal," she said.

“We abided by the law. I am doing my best as a parent to make sure she is healthy and happy. I covered those basis. Congratulations to Sophia. I’m wishing her the best in her teen years and if she wants to get more piercings, more power to her,” Farrah shared.

Just like her mom, Sophia too is blocking out the haters while gushing over her brand new body modification. The teenager shared a video of her getting the piercing on Instagram, and captioned it: "I got my septum piercing for my birthday!! I am so happy with how it turned out! I am the first person in my family to get a septum piercing at 13!! Birthday wish came true!!"
