Father Slammed For Cussing, Walking Off After Finding Out He's Having A Girl

A viral video from a gender-reveal party has garnered strong reactions from netizens online as the most disappointed person by the soon-to-be-born child’s gender was none other than the father himself.

The man was slammed online for a reaction that was “painful” to watch after expectant mother and “army wife,” KC Fulton, shared their third child’s gender reveal on TikTok.

The video shows the parents with their two daughters, huddled together as the mother opens an umbrella showering the group with pink confetti, revealing that the couple was having another daughter, according to 7NEWS Australia.

The father made no effort to hide his dissatisfaction with the reveal. Visibly unhappy, he walked in and out of the frame, cussing, even as his two daughters squealed in the excitement of having a baby sister.

Some netizens came to the man's defense after the video showed him groaning at the news.

“His wife did not seem to be bothered by his reaction and was laughing as if this was an inside joke between them,” said one comment while another added, “I really don’t believe he’s not happy to have another girl. It was just a funny knee-jerk reaction.”

One user shared their own experience and said, “You can’t understand until you’ve been there. I had four boys before finally having a girl. Gender disappointment is a real thing, we just don’t talk about it.”

On the other hand, some internet users didn’t seem to agree with the mother, who wrote in the caption: “I swear he’s happy.”

“I hope the little one never hears this story as it would break her heart,” one comment said.

"That video was PAINFUL to watch. I cannot imagine having a father that was disappointed in me before I was born," said another comment, as quoted by nzherald.co.nz. "His reaction was alarming."

The outrage spilled over to Twitter after user, Chris Evans, asked his followers: "What do you think it’s communicating to the other little girls when their dad reacts like this?”

One commenter replied, “It communicates to me that the world is lucky this Dad is not going to be raising a boy who will end up like him."

Fulton posted another video about the father after the gender reveal and said: "He loves ALL of his girls and they love him. He has loved his babies since the second he found out we were having them! He IS a good dad."
