Fergie Shares Throwback Photo With Ex Josh Duhamel, Celebrates Halloween With Family
Fergie and Josh Duhamel aren't letting their split get in the way of family time.
While most were busy with their own Halloween celebrations, the former Black Eyed Peas lead singer shared a throwback photo of herself with Duhamel. The snap was taken from the 2015 Casamigos Tequila Halloween party, E! News reported. Fergie and Duhamel attended the event dressed up as Karl Lagerfeld and his pet cat, Choupette.
Despite their split, the two stars apparently chose to celebrate the holiday together as they wanted to keep things "normal" for their 4-year-old son, Axl. They reportedly celebrated Halloween as a family near their Brentwood neighborhood.
As for Fergie and her son's Halloween costumes, the mother and son dressed up as Tinker Bell and Peter Pan, respectively. The "Big Girls Don't Cry" singer shared a snap of their getups on Instagram. "Off to Never Never Land," the celebrity mom wrote in the caption. Duhamel was noticeably absent in the photo.
Meanwhile, Fergie and Duhamel announced their split in September. News of their separation came out just months after they celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary.
"With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year," Fergie and Duhamel wrote in a statement to Entertainment Tonight. "To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family."
Nobody saw their split coming as the ex-couple had looked happy when they celebrated their anniversary in January. In fact, the "Safe Haven" star shared a family photo on Instagram and expressed his love for Fergie in the caption, writing: "8 years!! Love you babe."
There were rumors that Duhamel and Fergie wanted to have another baby prior to their split. However, the singer had reportedly been so busy with her singing career that "she was a lot more present in the studio to work on her solo music."
Fergie confessed that she heard about those rumors, but chose not to address them. Instead, she talked about her new solo album, "Double Duchess."
"I have no idea what's in the future. Right now, I just turned all my videos in yesterday to everybody. It's like I'm birthing a different kind of baby. I feel like I'm birthing this thing out. It didn't come from my belly but it came from my soul," Fergie said.
