First ‘Fuller House’ Photos Released; See Inside The Tanner's Updated Home
New photos from “Fuller House” give fans their first look at the Netflix revival series. While the teaser trailer gave us our first look at the house, the pictures show even more changes to the Tanner household. More importantly, it also shows new characters and returning fan-favorites.
The Netflix series picks up two decades after “Full House” ended, but the Tanner family is in the same San Francisco house. Clearly, DJ (Candace Cameron Bure) updated the décor. The living room looks familiar but DJ definitely downsized the couch. It’s a bit too small for Danny (Bob Saget), Becky (Lori Loughlin), Jesse (John Stamos) and Joey (Dave Coulier) to squeeze on it together. The photo shows D.J. hugging Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Kimmy (Andrea Barber). She’ll be relying on them both to help her raise her three sons after her husband dies.
That doesn’t mean they won’t have any fun, though. Another picture shows Kimmy and Stephanie in sexy dresses. It looks like they’re ready for a night on the town, but the recently widowed D.J. might need some convincing. She is still in her sweats.
The core of the show, of course, will be about family. Another photo shows the new kids in what appears to be Michelle Tanner’s old room. It’s even a similar color with a wallpaper border in the same place. The house isn’t the only thing that’s stayed the same. Kimmy’s unique fashion sense has remained. Bright colors, mixed patterns and even a cat sweater (top photo) are shown in the new stills. Judging from her daughter’s mismatched pajamas, her wacky fashion sense may have been passed down.
The “Fuller House” cast has remarked that the house isn’t the only thing that feels the same. John Stamos, who is also executive producing the comedy, says that viewers will see the same chemistry. “We never stopped loving each other,” Stamos told People. “The magic you saw 25 years ago? It's still there because it never stopped the day that we ended the show.”
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are the only original cast members missing from the new photos. They won’t appear in the revival series. As previously reported, the women are focused on their careers as fashion designers, and it will be mentioned that their character, Michelle, has a similar career.
“Fuller House” Season 1 premieres Friday, Feb. 26, on Netflix.
